ASHH Newsletter - December 2018

Presidents Message

I am honoured to be the new President of the All Saints Hunters Hill Football Club. My aim this year is to build on the legacy of our prior President, Paul Manton, who sadly passed away last year, with key areas of focus being:
   - Gladesville Reserve Redevelopment;
   - Increased community involvement through relationships with local businesses; and
   - Recruitment of new members to enjoy and participate in the world game, providing competitive and social levels of soccer to enable all players to experience the fun and fitness of our great game.

I hope you all have a great festive season and look forward to a great year of football in 2019.
Cheers, Euan

Gladesville Reserve Redevelopment & Renaming

In an effort to improve the playing surface and remember Paul, the club and Hunters Hill Council are discussing upgrading Gladesville Reserve to a synthetic surface and renaming the field in Paul’s honour.  So far, the council have given a positive reaction and indicated they would be willing to share the costs…meaning ASHH will need to raise $750,000 over a 3 year horizon. The intent is to also build a clubhouse on the site…plans are being drawn up, so watch this space for updates from our Gladesville Reserve Redevelopment Committee.

Several Committee Roles Need Volunteers

Though we had a strong turnout at the AGM and have 15 volunteers put their hand up to give back to the club, we are still short in a number of key volunteer roles.  We have 750 club members…please consider one of these roles, for the club to function effectively they need to be filled. Email secretary@ashhfc.com.au to volunteer today…

- Training Squad Co-ordinator
- Fundraising Committee Members (3-7 volunteers needed)
- Equipment Officer 3
- Registrar (Womens) (2 volunteers needed)
- Social Media Coordinator

Registration opens Feb 1st 2019

Please note registration will open on February 1, 2019.  A new registration system has been implemented so every registration will require a new photo…take a selfie of each of your ASHH players and managers as everyone will need a photo to register online this year.  Also, be aware Hunters Hill council have doubled the grounds rental this year, so expect a rise in fees.
